Your legal rights come first

Withdrawal, cancelling a future renewal, and a remedy for a defective service are different rights. The additional refund policy below does not replace any mandatory consumer protection.

Consumer withdrawal

Where French or EU consumer withdrawal rules apply, the usual period for withdrawing from a distance contract for a service or digital content is 14 days from conclusion of the contract, without giving a reason. The law can extend the period when required withdrawal information was not supplied. Send your notice before the applicable period ends.

Using the account, starting generation or downloading a file does not by itself establish that you waived this right. An exception for immediately supplied digital content requires the legally required prior express consent, acknowledgement of losing the right and contractual confirmation. For services started at your express request during the withdrawal period, a proportionate charge is possible only where the applicable legal conditions, including required information, were met. A fully performed service has separate legal conditions for loss of the right.

To identify the contract, provide your name, the order or subscription reference, or another clear description of the purchase, and an email address for the acknowledgement. No explanation for withdrawing is required. The online form lets you review your notice, confirm withdrawal and download a dated receipt; we also send an acknowledgement by email. Receipt of a notice is not a decision on the refund amount.

If withdrawal gives rise to reimbursement, it is made without undue delay and within the applicable legal deadline, normally no later than 14 days after the withdrawal notice, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise without fees. Your bank's posting time is separate from the date we issue the refund.

Defective or nonconforming digital content and services

Consumers retain the legal guarantee of conformity. For a one-off supply, the French rules cover defects existing at supply that become apparent within two years. For continuous digital services, coverage applies during the contractual supply period. Required updates and other mandatory protections remain applicable.

Where the legal conditions are met, you can require conformity without charge or undue delay and, where correction is unavailable, unsuccessful or otherwise insufficient under the law, obtain a price reduction or end the contract. Our seven-day additional policy does not limit these rights. Contact support@draftmybook.com with the project or order details and the issue.

Additional technical-issue refund policy

In addition to statutory rights, our one-off purchase policy offers a full refund for requests made within seven days of purchase when generation fails completely and cannot be recovered, the result is substantially incomplete or corrupted, or technical problems prevent downloading.

Outside your statutory rights and this additional policy, we do not offer a general refund merely for a change of creative preference or a third-party store's rejection. These exclusions cannot be used to refuse a valid withdrawal or a remedy for a service that does not conform to the contract.

Our existing support offer includes one free regeneration per purchase when you are dissatisfied with the book's content. Contact support to arrange it. This is separate from optional cover regenerations purchased with credits.

Subscriptions and future renewals

Use Manage plan in your account to cancel future renewals before the next billing date. Access normally continues until the paid period ends. An annual plan is paid upfront; cancellation of renewal alone does not request a refund of the elapsed or remaining period.

There is no additional discretionary partial-month or partial-year refund under this policy. Statutory withdrawal, conformity and other mandatory refund rights still apply. Credits refresh each month, do not roll over and expire when the subscription entitlement ends.

Contact and handling

Contact support@draftmybook.com with the order email and enough information to identify your purchase. For a technical issue, describe what went wrong. We aim to respond within two business days. Do not send your password or full card details.

Technical-issue refunds approved under the additional policy are normally issued within 5 to 10 business days. A shorter mandatory legal deadline takes precedence. Your payment provider may take additional time to display the credit.
